Co-founding Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir and his latest solo combo, Wolf Bros., have just announced a five-night residency at Mill Valley, California's Sweetwater Music Hall. The band will play on February 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th, and 15th. JamBase.com posted that attendees of the Valentine's Day show on February 14th "will receive a surprise gift."

In addition to Weir, the lineup is rounded out by legendary producer Don Was on bass, and drummer Jay Lane. The band will be on the road through the end of March.

Bob Weir told us that playing with a group pretty much gives him everything he needs musically: ["Well, y'know, the kind of music that I like is the kind that takes a number of people to play — it's an ensemble kind of deal. What I really have the most fun with is improvisational music that it takes a number of people to make. And you never know where its going and you never know what you're gonna get out of it. But you develop an ability to make sure that does happen, and I kind of like that adventure."] SOUNDCUE (:25 OC: . . . like that adventure)
